Around 40 of VMCH’s most dedicated supporters gathered for the ninth annual Fawkner Fellowship Luncheon at St Joseph’s Mews in Hawthorn on Tuesday, September 18.
The Fellowship was established in 2013 to thank a very special group of VMCH supporters who have chosen to leave a gift to VMCH in their Will, or have established a trust or fund of which the organisation is a beneficiary.
The lunch coincided with Include a Charity Week, aimed at encouraging and educating people to leave a gift in their Will once their family and friends have been provided for.
“At these lunches, and in general, we seek to open a dialogue about gifts in Wills because we hope to know the people that have planned to give in this way, and to recognise and thank them during their lifetimes,” said VMCH Grants and Bequests Officer Sandra Rosano.
