VMCH’s retirement villages and apartments are located throughout Victoria and are designed with long-term comfort and security in mind.
We aim to maximise your independence and provide environments where you can feel safe and well-connected. We want you to enjoy complete peace of mind.
According to VMCH Sales Manager, Brent Peters, the demand for retirement living has increased significantly.
“During my 11 years in sales and the five years I have focused on retirement living, I have seen a huge shift in the popularity of retirement villages. Selling over 250 homes has given me a better understanding of the needs of our retirement clients and what they look for in a community.
“There are a number of retirees that are now choosing to live in retirement communities. With that has come to a shift in the style of communities on offer. Undeniably the largest trend is moving from large gated villages to more CBD central medium density styles. This means more opportunities to connect to the wider community and be less isolated.”
Brent says making the move to retirement living can be daunting but visiting a village for a tour to see what they offer can make the decision easier.
“Most will allow you to join in with their events and meet some of the locals. It’s also a good opportunity to learn more about the village from the on-site manager.”
Brent says there are a lot of reasons why people choose retirement communities, and in general lifestyle is the main one. But security, safety, community and quality of life all play their part in the decision-making process.
“Just remember that it’s about your needs and the community should tick all the boxes for you.”
