Students at our specialist school St Paul’s College will benefit from new pool safety equipment and library resources thanks to a $10,000 donation from the Commonwealth Bank.

The funds are among 1,000 Centenary Grants from a Commonwealth Bank and CommBank Foundation partnership, gifted to community organisations that support youth wellbeing, access to education and cancer research and awareness.

St Pauls’ College Principal Tim Hemphill said he was grateful for the generous donation and gave special thanks to Kew Commonwealth Bank employee Jad Khallouf who nominated the school.

“Jad volunteered with St Paul’s while in high school and was touched by the school community and its passion for creating a unique and supported environment in which children with disabilities can learn, grow and thrive.”

The funds will be used to purchase a defibrillator and first aid items for the school’s warm-water therapy pool, plus some resources for the library.
