Generous donation goes towards fun holidays

Thanks to a generous donation from one of VMCH’s supporters, 10 young people with an acquired brain injury are off on holidays.

VMCH runs Victoria’s first supported co-living house for young people with an acquired brain injury who might otherwise live in aged care. It is in Alphington. Each one of its young residents will be off on a holiday this year. They will be well-supported to get out and have fun to a destination of their choice in Victoria.

Nathan (pictured) was the first one to take off recently to Blairgowrie. He had a fantastic time, as you can see from these holiday snapshots. Fellow resident Susan also recently took off to Ballarat where she visited the famous Sovereign Hill and other local attractions. She has also kindly shared some holiday snaps with us.

A big thank you to the family of former Austin Street resident, Will Harvey. Tragically, Will passed away last year. His family made a generous donation to Austin Street, and hoped the money would allow residents the chance to enjoy themselves and do something that was not easily accessible.
