When you look at the work of photographer, Julian Demsky, it is hard to believe he become interested in photography only 18 months ago.

Julian lives at Austin Street, VMCH’s purpose-built residence for people with high medical and physical support needs as a result of a significant acquired brain injury (ABI).

These black and white portraits are of the support staff at Austin Street, in Alphington.

He recently exhibited them at the Alphington residence for family and friends. He has already sold almost half of the photographs.

Austin Street Rehabilitation and Therapy Assistant, Dermot Sheehy, said Julian’s family recently bought him a Digital SLR camera and he has a tripod attached to his wheelchair so he has the freedom to take photos more often.
