Join other carers at the supreme Chinese restaurant Fook Shing in Kyneton with its stylish décor and delicious food.

The venue has a fascinating local history, it’s namesake Fook Shing, was a Chinese detective who worked with the Victorian Police Force overseeing disputes in the goldfields and was involved in the hunt for the Kelly Gang.

First operated as a temperance hotel by the Alexander family, Fook Shing has seen many changes in its life. Originally hosting coaches and their crew on the gold route it is believed that Fook Shing stayed at the Pub as it offered excellent stables most suitable for constabulary. Time to get creative

Japanese fabric art-kinusaiga is a striking Japanese textile art that puts even the smallest scraps of fabric to use. It’s part collage, part applique, part patchwork, but requires no sewing!

Rather than sewing, your design is cut into a thick backing board and fabric is then pressed into these cuts and pulled taut, creating 3D artworks that really pop!

Maria from Laneway Learning will guide your creation. All materials provided, just come along and try something new! Lunch and tea/coffee provided.
