Dementia friendly garden group: Ballarat

Get your green thumb out!

Come along and connect with others from your local area at the Ballarat Neighbourhood Centre. Experienced gardener Matt will guide you through different gardening activities each session. No gardening experience needed. A delicious morning tea is provided.

This workshop is for carers of someone with dementia or memory loss, and the person they care for.

Weekly Tuesdays over four weeks: 9:30-11am

Pottery Class: Bacchus Marsh

Talented ceramicist Joanne Linsdell will guide you to make two pottery creations, with a variety of examples on hand for inspiration. Pottery will be glazed after the event with a catch-up cuppa to follow. Your creations can be picked up one month later (date TBC). Pottery class, lunch and tea/coffee included.

Join this diverse group peer-led by Paul and facilitated by a qualified fitness trainer, to get your body moving and de-stress your mind. Carers are invited to stay for coffee and a chat after the exercise session.

PROV tour for history buffs: North Melbourne

Public Record Office Victoria (PROV) is the archive of State and Local Governments in Victoria. An archivist will take you behind the scenes to the climate-controlled vaults holding over 100 linear kilometres of physical records from 1836 to the present. You will learn about how such a large and important collection is managed and preserved, and view some of its most interesting items. A must for history buffs! Followed by a light lunch at Mr Tucker Café.
