Aged Care Review Checklist
Your new home is located in the lovely, leafy and peaceful neighbourhood of Balwyn, only 25 minutes away from Melbourne CBD.
Walking through St Catherine’s you’ll be instantly attracted to its contemporary design, brand new furnishings and open-plan layout. Spaces that residents and families will enjoy and use daily.
Resident rooms are spacious, equipped with a large private ensuite and swathed in natural light. There’s plenty of room to sit and talk with family and friends and have the grandkids potter about. As this is your home, we ensure you have the space to continue doing what you enjoy.
With resident comfort our priority, St Catherine’s was architecturally designed to present multiple sitting rooms and comfortable lounges throughout the home, where you can relax, participate in activities or chat with fellow residents.
We also know that everybody loves good quality food and that’s why our chefs prepare and cook meals on-site using fresh and wholesome ingredients.
St Catherine’s also offers allied health services including physiotherapy and podiatry, plus an on-site hairdressing salon.
We have 59 ageing in place beds and 18 memory support unit beds.
Enjoy pure luxury, with brand-new spacious single rooms, equipped with a large private ensuite and bathed in natural light.
Our team of staff and volunteers are passionate about developing fun and interesting activities. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved with:
And we’re just naming a few of the fun activities and events we offer!
St Catherine’s also has a kiosk trolley which makes its way around the home. Residents can purchase a delicious treat or an essential item they may need. Also, who doesn’t love happy hour? Our residents can sit back and relax while enjoying some chilled beverages.

Once you arrive, the Pastoral Care team will drop by and help you settle in. They’re always there for you if you need, whether it’s for a chat, to pray together or for some comfort and guidance on getting settled.
Not sure if St Catherine’s is for you? Why not try a short respite stay? Depending on room availability, you’re welcome to join us for a recommended two-week stay. It’s a great way to ease into aged care, and many of our residents have decided to live with us permanently afterwards.
We’re lucky enough to have a team of loyal volunteers who love nothing more than to spend time with you!
Our purpose built memory support unit not only provides a comfortable home for residents but is specially designed to support people with memory loss.
As our goal is to maintain and enhance quality of life, there is plenty of space for leisure activities, family visits and relaxation.
As we pride ourselves on a ‘person-centred approach’ we provide individualised care to each resident and ensure physical, social and mental wellbeing.
Our friendly and experienced staff are trained in Montessori methods. The philosophy behind this approach enables residents to be as independent as possible, make choices, contribute to their community and maintain their self-esteem.
Residential Services Manager
St Catherine’s is a special place; home to happy and content residents. This is in large part thanks to Ruby, who – with more than a decade of management experience under her belt – leads a group of professionals united in their passion to deliver outstanding care to residents.
