The Strategy team have a number of projects in progress including a focus on innovation.
Led by Sr Lorraine Testa, transitioning Mission to The Hub is going well. Sr Lorraine is project managing all teams to design and develop their home space on The Hub as well as transition files across to our new home for all documents, MS Teams.
The Pastoral Care team recently attended training at Kew and embraced the new technology and the opportunity it will bring to better connect across VMCH.
Lunch and Learn
Strategy will be leading a monthly Lunch and Learn session to better share projects across VMCH. This casual get-together will be held at different sites. Using our new MS Teams technology, we’ll record the sessions and upload to the Hub. If you can’t attend, you can catch up later.
The first session will be held at East Melbourne on Wednesday 18 September and will cover the topic “How to pitch an idea at VMCH”.
Offering older people at home peace of mind UMPS Smart Plug Trial
The Home Care team in Gippsland are commencing a trial using UMPS Smart Plugs with 10 VMCH Home care package clients. The trial is being led by Rui Santos and Wayne Gould, supported by Strategy.
Every Umps Health Smart Home comes with 5 Umps Health Smart Plugs. To install Umps Health, simply plug the Smart Plugs into commonly used appliances.
We typically suggest a kettle, TV, microwave, refrigerator and bedside lamp – but every person is unique. Installation is that easy – and Umps Health doesn’t require an internet connection to operate.
UMPS will send an alert if a person’s predictive routine isn’t followed. This indicates that something may be wrong. UMPS then send a text message to a family member or care provider so that they can check on their loved one.
