VMCH would like to recognise the wonderful contribution of its volunteers at its Bayswater Op Shop which closed its doors in July after 33 years in the local community.
Its 13 volunteers and manager Revis have been dedicated members of the team that has been behind the success of the op shop for more than three decades.
While it was sad to see the end of an era, it was wonderful news that most of the Bayswater volunteers were taking on other volunteer roles within VMCH. Revis will now move to VMCH’s Wantirna op shop and many of her Bayswater team will join her.
VMCH Senior Manager, Volunteer Services and Opportunity Shops Bron Summers paid tribute to the Bayswater team.
“Bayswater has a loyal, friendly and dedicated team of volunteers. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them and Revis whose efforts have been outstanding,” she said.
Couple Joe and Des Henry were dedicated volunteers at the Bayswater Op Shop and have been involved with our organisation for 33 years. They are pictured with Revis at the Bayswater Op Shop. They decided that they would retire and hang up their volunteer hats once Bayswater closed.
Bron thanked them for their amazing efforts over the years. She described them as a really lovely couple who would be missed and wished them all the best in the future.
