Welcome to the first winter edition of NOW for 2019.
This month, we celebrated National Volunteer Week and the wonderful people who provide their time and support to VMCH. As the CEO of a not for profit organisation, it is extremely gratifying to know people feel a strong connection with this organisation and are committed to make a difference in other people’s lives. Our volunteer lunch again brought together a very connected group of people who always enjoy celebrating each other’s achievements, over the year. I would like to again thank you for all that you do for the people we support at VMCH.
This month, we began the first of many VMCH Community Consultation sessions to really connect with the community. We are starting this process in the context of ensuring we engage with people who are interested in new VMCH developments for Supported Disability Accommodation. We held two sessions in Macleod, bringing together people who were committed to having their say on what is important to them in future disability accommodation.
As part of community consultation, we have set up a new Community Engagement platform yoursay.vmch.com.au
I encourage you to have a look at this platform and spread the word to encourage an ongoing dialogue with clients and future clients.
It is pleasing to see the number of people who have taken the opportunity to have their flu injections. Thank you to the Safety team for driving this important initiative.
Enjoy this edition of NOW.
