Sun shines on transformed service

A beautiful, sunny spring day set the perfect scene for the official unveiling of VMCH’s new-look Flexible Respite Service on September 22.

Flexi visitors, family members, friends and VMCH staff gathered at the Wantirna South site to see the amazing transformation for themselves and enjoy a sausage sizzle, roving entertainment and face painting.

Thanks to an enormous amount of community support, more than $130,000 was raised to give the indoor and outdoor spaces a bright, fun and interactive facelift.

New additions including a sensory garden, climbing equipment and upgrade of the activity room are already making such a positive difference to the way people enjoy the space and how staff deliver the much-needed programs.
