Thank you for your generosity
Your support makes a real difference
Despite the obvious trials of the past few years, we are looking forward to a 2022 filled with hope and new experiences, special moments and exceptional care for the people we support.
I’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks for your support in 2021.
I know there are so many worthy causes and charities to choose from, so I appreciate your trust and faith in our ability to make a real difference with your generosity. With this in mind, I’m excited to share with you an update of what we’ve been able to achieve over the past year, thanks to you.
This incredible campaign really resonated with you, and we were thrilled to raise $34,487 to launch fortnightly dog therapy sessions at our 11 aged care residences.
As you know, aged care residents have faced many challenges recently, so it’s fantastic for them to have access to this beautiful activity within their own home.
Of course, this pandemic is still unfortunately impacting our sites, but we’ve been able to welcome some furry friends where we can, accompanied by some lovely volunteers.
We’ve also purchased interactive ‘companion dogs’ so residents can enjoy comfort and companionship in between ‘real life’ dog visits.
The festive season can be really tough for many people, especially those who are socially isolated or struggling financially.
We were humbled to receive over $13,000 to put together more than 700 hampers for our affordable homes residents and clients from our at-home aged care and disability services. We were lucky enough to witness the joy on people’s faces upon delivery; many have said it’s the highlight of their year which says so much about the impact.
While we’re all very passionate about what we do here at VMCH, as a not-for-profit organisation we don’t receive funding for programs like these. Your donations help us to go the extra mile for the people we support and do what we can to further enrich their lives.
Thank you once again for making these wonderful programs possible, and if you’d like to support them into the future, please click the link below.
