Shanagolden Retirement Village (Pakenham)
Shanagolden Village is located on the corner of Webster Way and McGregor Road in the heart of Pakenham, within easy reach of the major facilities and amenities. With such a convenient position, you have excellent access to a wide range of local community, leisure, health, and religious services. Public transport options are abundant with the 928 bus service practically on your doorstep and the Pakenham train station nearby.
Retail therapy, local shopping or a café lunch are no more than a short walk away so you can continue to enjoy your everyday recreational activities and outings.
Next to the village is our brand new, 90-bed aged care residence; providing village residents with the comfort and peace of mind that if ever health issues become a concern, ageing in place is available (pending current vacancies).
Your wellbeing is our top priority. Feeling safe, content and well-connected is often the first thing that many individuals and family members express as their greatest wish. Our aim is to do our very best to ensure that you and your family have complete peace of mind.
We aim to maximise your independence and social interaction by maintaining close links with the local parish, social groups, community organisations and many other networks and associations. We also welcome you to join in community activities and put forward suggestions for events that you would like to see introduced.
Living in a retirement community is as much about having good company and like-minded friends as it is about enjoying the comforts of quality facilities and wide-ranging activities.
The Shanagolden Village Community Centre is where our residents come together to relax, meet with friends, participate in games or enjoy a drink and share a meal in our alfresco dining or outdoor patio area. We also have library and craft studio, billiard table and indoor bowling green.
We offer a fulfilling lifestyle program with an expansive selection of activities that includes various events and outings, especially around key holidays such as Christmas, Easter and Melbourne Cup Day.
Other helpful services include a village manager, reception area, meeting room and kitchen, gardening and ground maintenance service and most importantly, a 24-hour medical emergency call system installed in every unit.
Our units have been designed for your long-term comfort and security now and in the future. Every detail reflects our 50 years of experience in providing quality accommodation for seniors.
With a choice of two bedrooms or two bedrooms plus a study, each unit includes a spacious kitchen and open plan living and dining areas. Moving to the outdoors, you can relax in the privacy of your fenced courtyard and enjoy the low maintenance garden.
Each unit has security doors and lockable windows to ensure your safety and security. The 24-hour emergency call service provides pendant and phone access to urgent assistance should you require it, day or night.
We acknowledge your individual needs and we are available to help you to access community support, medical assistance and other services on either a fee-for-service basis or through the funded programs you may be eligible for.
